Nature heals – our message for #MHAW21
We’re kicking off this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week with a blog from our Deputy Chief Executive, Andy Warren, and his reflections on this last extraordinary year.
As lockdown restrictions ease, organisations and communities are collectively thinking about getting back to more normal times. At Second Step, we’re keen to use this time of transition to change things for the better and are talking together about what this will mean in the way we work with our clients and with each other.
MHAW21’s theme is nature, and throughout the week we’ll be sharing some video shorts from clients and staff about how they connect with nature and how important the natural world is for them. We can all agree that if the last year has taught us anything, it’s the importance of connection with each other and with our environment. That’s why we’ve chosen to launch #NatureHeals.
Do let us know what you think of our video stories, you can watch them all on our YouTube channel. We’d love to hear share your ideas and stories too, you can join the conversation on Twitter and Instagram @wearesecondstep.
